i thought we would have a thread where you summarise how your season is going after a few games. so i will start us of

I am pompey.

Pre season I managed to sign Ashley Cole and Ageuro. What good additions! I also offloaded 11 players, to narrow the squad down and also to keep the players happier with the prospect of more chances of a game.


After a bad start to the season by losing out on the Community Sheild to United, 2-1, I then hit the ground running by winning three games in a row impressively. Then I hit the rocks and went for 7 games which ended in draws. I beat cheltenham in the cup, only to be given a good seeing to by Arsenal in the next round, 3-0. After that, I then beat their north london rivals Tottenham 4-0, where Defoe really shone. Then Chelsea came up on the radar, and narrowly avoiding defeat, and somehow coming away with a win, which sub Nugent tapped in in the 80th minute.

I have since been on an excellent string off results, winning every game since the 7 game draw rocks, even though most of the games were lucky in terms of me getting late goals. I also gave United a surprise beating, 9-0... very lucky and United were very poor. I have then gotten revenge on Arsenal in the league, winning 2-1. During the January Transfers, Peter Crouch waved goodbye to Portsmouth. Petr Cech came in from Chelsea, after being placed on the transfer list, and Mikel was also pouched from Chelsea. Also right winger Jesus Navas came into the team. In the next game, v Tottenham, all the new players shone, Cech saved a penalty and denied a number of chances, Jesus made a lot of good runs and crosses, and Mikel took Diops place in CM a lot better than Diop himself did, and even scored on his debut. Then next up was Hull City in the FA cup 3rd round, which we won 5-1. Navas got himself of the mark here, and Mikel added a second to his tally already in two games. Aguero also scored a hat trick. Then after this game, we said hello to a new defender.... Micah Richards...

I then went on to draw against Man United and Arsenal 1-1 and 0-0, then Man United knocked me out the FA cup in the fourth round after these results, beating me 2-1. Then I lost 4-0 to Newcastle United, and bounced back against Wigan to win 4-1. The following week was a nice easy 1-0 win at Hull City, then Stoke came next and beat me 4-2! Next came a 0-0 draw against the Baggies at home, followed by a 1-0 loss against the kop! Blackburn took advantage of our demise and beat us 4-0, and the blue merseysiders came to our ground and drew with us 2-2.

We then took our pain out on Fulham to win 3-0, and also beat City and Bolton 2-0 respectively. Then Villa popped up on the radar, and we saw them of only just, winning 2-1. We then hosted Sunderland in our very last game, losing 1-0, but it didn't matter because we had already bagged the 1st spot!

We finished 1st with 75 points, 3 ahead of Liverpool. We won 21 games all season, drawing 12 and losing only 5 games. We scored 73 goals, 30 of those were Defoes, and we conceded 30 goals.

Bolton Wanderers, Fulham and Hull City all got relegated. Southampton, Charlton and Crystal Palace all came up into the top tier.

Papa Diop and Sylvian Distin made it into the Season Dream Team.

Ill just let you know that i actually read all that 9 - 0 against united ! ? ive only started be a pro mode so i aint touched manager mode yet. Were you playing the first team ? (ie rooney, ronaldo etc.) How many seasons is manager mode ? and how many is regualar season ? again i havnt bought a fifa game since 06 maybe 05 so i dont know anything Van nistelrooy on real madrid !! man ive been away for some time, so yeh it was probably 2005 when i was playing that slow ass striker that seems to score like 50 cent in a half price wh0re house for manchester united.

im chelsea and have won the league 3 times, champions league twice, fa cup 3 times and carling cup 3 times... semi pro difficulty ftw!

Ive yet to play manager mode probably start it today with man city so ill let you all know how that goes but i usualy play on the hardest difficulty as to be honest the AI is usualy better than those online :P so its good practice.

Who's got the most cash to spend? although in real life its Man City have they got alot to spend in the game?

i just started with man city and got 28 million to spend drew my first game 0-0 against portsmouth. Lost my second game 3-1 to stoke lol. Then i beat man united 1-0 although it should had been by more not sure why but i always find the smaller teams more difficult than the big teams.

Anyway i got bored of manager mode so not got far decided to try man united online i put berbatov and tevez upfront with rooney behind in a 4-3-1-2 kinda formation. Went a goal down but came back to win 3-1 lol thought i was gonna loose which is not acceptable.

Keep it up Jimbles, I enjoyed reading it, to point where im actually going out and buying the game tonight.
