My "Gripes" with GT%Prologue
Ok What are your gripes with the game so far.Dont get me wrong as for a demo of what is to come its excelent.
So far mine are:
I find the menu system fails a bit when you have to quite an event to change car and then g back in.
During S level events the graphics start to splutter a bit probably due to the number of higher detailed cars on the track compared to the lower classes.
The "collision" penalty in S class needs sorting out I think. Many a time I am finding that other cars are to blame for collisions and you get the penalty.
I have even had cars in front spin out and bounce back into the path of other cars and as you brake following cars rear end you but you get penalised.I have also noticed that in a side by side situation if you are forced of the track a bit by the car you are racing you are penalised for a short cut !
So what are your gripes ?

i still hate the fact that, the ai cars force themselves on their racing line, if ur just overtaking them then they dont car that your in the line they want be in and just shove you off the track

Most of the races are not about how good you are but how fast your car is compared to the others. You can just do an easy race a few times, get enough money for a **** ass car and then whoop ass in a harder race without even driving the course well.

I agree that the menu needs sorting out and also i think the online is a bit shabby. But the main thing i was annoyed about is the amount of cars compared to tracks. I mean there is over 70 and only 6 tracks. and alot of the cars are pointless as they are too exspensive and too slow fr the part in the game. Like the TVR's, for the same price you can get the Nissan GTR which walks over the TVRs.

the menu is appaling, i hope the final menu will be like the gt4 menu, but with added stuff and made better, i found this was really easy to navigate,
but in gt5 after completing the race and then having to go back through the menu just to get to the next race is stupidly annoying

minor things really. if you actually play the game and know about cars handling and performance then the game is actually very good. cars do drive like they would, and do handle like they would. over all im very impressed by the way the game plays and feels and couldnt really care much for menu's. its no arcade racing game and im very glad for that. a proper game for proper car people is my verdict and its only the prologue. looks good for the full game

I like it, got little problem with it apart from that i still cannot get the update.
Recently bought a dodge viper that although fast handles really poor. I was racing with it on the daytona track, and it was impossible to turn round the first corner in it without really slowing down. Still its great on big open tracks with few turns. It quickly went up to 180 mph and i still won the race despite crashing on that one corner everytime.

Can't you change your car before the race? The "Garage" is an option from the race menu, and any car you can use is highlighted.
Agree, the S class penalties is broken. Infact, not just broken, smashed to pieces. As is the online racing. The performance points in theory is great, in practise its a little broken. I selected GT for a race, got all the race to the start bit, but I was told I needed to reduce the performance points, yet I couldnt reduce them enough enter that car. Why let me select it? Yer swine
I liked the Menus, and the home page oozes class.
On the whole its alright, and I like the fact they release what they have, and I bet they listen to our critisms and correct for final game. It will be superb

which to be fair is probably very realistic. there isnt an american made car that can handle anyway near as good as european or jap cars. the dodge viper was built on a 1960's truck chasis.
thats the one thing i do like is you cant just nail it everywhere. you have to drive the cars like you actually would in real life. its simulation, not arcade.

Yea I agree. Its a class game.
Although I agree with a good few of the negative comments posted avove like the penalty's in S Class but in fairness that just makes you drive differently and better which cant be bad, It makes you avoid other cars and drive more like real life.
The Menu's are not good at all but Im sure they will be perfect in the full game, What other GT game has let us down? None!
