Question Logitech Driving Force Ex Wheel- Question?

I recently decided to buy a PS3 and got with it the Gran Turismo.
Really liking the game and cant wait to get the full edition.

My question is though, I want to get the Logitech Driving Force Ex Wheel to give it the added experience but I dont want to use the pedals.

Reason being is the way I have my system setup, am pretty much sat on the floor with my HD TV in front of me.

So I need to know does anyone know if you can use the wheel to control the acceleration / braking without the need to use the pedals? Or do u have to use the pedals once you have the wheel?

Cheers

JS

Would be good if somee one could answer, I'm about to get the Pro version & some times, I wont be able to set it up with the pedals. I know it seems pointless getting this with using the pedals all the time, but worth it when I can.

i dont think any of the regulars on this forum has a driving wheel, it would be a good idea to ask where your buying it from first tho, or look at the specs for it on the internet

www.google.com is you friend

www.boysfood.com is also your friend but were not gonna get into that

Yes you can. You'll have to go into setup (special section for Logitech wheels) to change the standard button assignments, because by default nothing maps to accelerator and brake, but once you've done that you'll be good to go.

I've tried it and it works (though I prefer the pedals)

Good luck.

You can set it up to use without the pedals but why would you? GT is a driving simulator, if you have the oppertunity to drive the cars as you would in real life you should. It may take alot of getting used to but you will reap the benefits I guarantee you. Your not a woman are you?

Thumbs up

wel it is possible to set the buttons on the wheel, but my advice is to use the pedals and make yourself a solid table to mount your wheel. much more fun like that
