PM account spam & email spam

Hi,

I have got a few reports today that spam PM messages and emails were received from one of the site members. Unfortunately there is not much we can do about this at the moment as when i member opens an account they can view other members profiles.

To stop getting emails you can set your account up to not allow other members to send you mails. To do this go to:

USER CP >> Edit Options >> and then uncheck the box for "Receive Email from Other Members". You can also turn off PM's but this can be awkward.

I will be looking into ways to stop bots from doing this in future (not sure if it was a bot but probably was) so hopefully this will not happen again.

Thanks, i didn't get any myself so didn't notice. Just think of all the work he goes through to try and make one sale. Get a life mate!!

Anyway, i have deleted his account.

by rights the e-mail all e-mail should be hiddin i just think e-mails are personal thats all..

also i think the site should work on as i think bman said.

By default the site is setup that emails are hidden. You have to request for it to be accessible. Even then it is not show, it is just possible to send an email to them through the forum.
