Online part of game

Hi everyone , firstly im new to this site and im a very mad ( but talented ) pro evo fan .

Had pro for like 4 years now and this one on a ps3 is fantastic , i dont seem to have this slowdown or havent noticed nay frame rate people have , only really a bit of slowdown when i come back from the pause menu .
However my post is really for the online part of game like , there are some issues i have with it , well good and bad parts compared to t'other pro games . i have a good record so far so not much to complain , my alias is - diDleDee BwFc - and my record is summat like won 68 drew 1 lost 26 with an average of 3-07 goals a game so i havent got much to complain about these are some points though

Bad .
1. No chat box anymore
2. Cant use 2 players or see other peoples games
3. When you play some one with 3 bar connection , the bar at top of match goes from 2 to 1 , well recently and thers a bit of lag , even after new patch thingy .
4. Refereeessss completely harsh , especially when theres lag and youre defence is hard to control , ooo and this includes the game vs comp they taje ages to blow the whistle after a freekick goal kick etc . so frustarting
5. Rankings are completely wrong , havent updated for a while plus some people with 1 loss have 1000 points and are 1st , whats all that about lol .
6. No cups comps or anything yet .
7. Keepers always seem to push the ball staight to an opponent
8 . Still have a lot of players who just press r1 and press x when in box and score a tap in , im not saying ive never done it but i feel more better if i whip it in or do some skill .
9. Even if youre defence plays well on top player vs comp , they always seem to separate online and defend to far apart and to near half way line letting throw balls go though and if you have a corner and it gets headed clear it like youre opponent has 4 men on youre 3 defenders , even though i dont put my defenders to " go up " for corners etc , thats well annoying , even though my attack makes up for it


This game is my fave and that was just some things i think konami have taken away that made the online experiance more better but still the game is magic ,

Improvements on online game, obviously the whole game play , graphics etc i just mean things like this

1 . More stadiums to pick online

Also is there anything Konami are gonna add to this game like tourney /cups etc . they did last year on ps2 pro evo 2006 . Heard summat about december , not sure .

This isnt intended to slag pro evo off as the game itself is fantastic and it is so addictive . just a few things i dodnt thing they needed to change considering it is next gen console and it doesnt really have much Online compared to others , even the rankings are screwed at moment , hope it changes , Reet time for my etherent cable to go in my ps3 its online time woo woo lol . i told you it was addicted .

yeah - i love evo but the game is still kind of flawed. the online is a joke... with lag that is horrendous sometimes. baring in mind i get a 13ms ping in pc games online!

little things like the fact that konami seem to think that you have to be 10yards away from players when making throw ins... yet against the COM they stand next to me... yet i cant get near them.

the online quick chats are useless....

the fact i can try to do a quick pass and find the ball goes in completely the wrong direction etc....

the fact i often find my CF behind my midfield and my wingers seem too stupid to make decent runs a lot of the time.

the fact that when i play as manu td online ronaldo is ALWAYS on blue or purple status

its a good game but why the hell cant they fix these little bugs. im sorely tempted to try fifa again

no proper cups and leagues for club teams - i have to make my own!

still needs a lot of work imho....

Yeah I totally agree, its so good but so frustrating at times.

I've got a record of something like 80 win 60 loses. But I honestly believe I could be 100-40 if the lag wasn't bad. It just kills you at times. I don't mind getting beat but its so annoying when you get beaten for a stupid reason i.e. the lag, or a red card because you miss a tackle because of THE LAG !!!!

There is an online chat thing (Press the R3 button) but its useless as you have to be in pause or half time etc to get into it. And it doesn't even come up if the other person sends you a message, I don't even bother looking at it any more ???

Yeah I stopped going into random matches recently because of the bad lag, I've started to choose who I play, anyone with a 3 bar connection. But since that (******* ****) update everyone seems to lose the bars

I think their should be an option for a mutual quite on a game if its that bad, obliviously both players could quit if not the game continues ? Not points won or lost.

The rankings have been wrong for ages, I've talked about this for ages !

Free kicks are so annoying not being able to chose who to pass to is one of the worst things about the game.
When you kick the ball with your keeper I find it always goes to the wrong man, i.e. I'm aiming for Drogba its goes for Joe Cole arghhhhhhh !!!!!!

On the Goalkeepers, they do seem to push the ball straight to the opposition, or you get what I like to call the lag save, where you have a shot the balls still in play but it’s a corner, sometimes I even put the rebound in the back of the net only to find it’s a corner ??
Another annoying thing about the keepers is when you blast one towards gaol from an angle they quit often just push the ball in at the near post !

As much as I can complain about this game, its soooooooooooooooooooooo addictive, I've played like 60 hours online or something stupid like that, an the game isn't even running properly yet !!!

2 Questions from me;

1. Whats the crack with R1 and X ??? Am I missing something ? I miss some sitters in the box sometimes is this because I'm not using that way of shooting ?

2. How do you control the walls in free kicks ?? Sometimes I get a wall appear when the opposition is at the half way line !!!

Long live Pro Evo, its quite simply the best !!

Yes i wouldnt mind playing anyone just not in next few days as ill be busy but yes ill show you lot whos the bomb :P

You mentioned that thing about keepers when they parry it forward and you reckon youre gonna tap it in and then commentator says it gone for a corner when it didnt even go near the line :S

Ive had 11 disconnects and only 2 are 'cos i disconnected due to really bad lag , you know type when you cant even se ball as it fast forwards to a totally new part of the pitch when it wasnt even near that part ar start ,usually ends up with youre opponent one on one with keeper or theyve scored without you having a clue what happened . the rest of disconnects are 'cos i forgot to load my formation data that as my saved data for team si play with , so i just disconnect 'cos i love my 3-2-2-3 formation that turns into a red bar l2 + triangle 4-3-3 formation that has seen me have wins like 8-0 etc but obvioualy people just disconnect and some do it on 90 mions just to pee you off lol . you should get the result that was at the time of the disconnect , at least in this series someone disconnected and its says i did and i lose , well not yet anyway like , thats so frustrating .

Adriano is amazing on this game , ive scored for fun with him using my Inter Milan side , The robanna trick and goals from half way line included , but i feel hes a little too good considering is form of recent past season with Inter .

on the previews of the game it showed a 10 man wall , not learned how to do this yet ( can you ? ) plus diving , a lot try it online but i dont as my fingers havent got used to it , so when i have tried it i always get a yellow but ive had pens vs me when i havent even touched a button and.

Also why do your'e players slide tackle and give a way a pen and red card when you dont even touch a button . i dont get me like .

P.S i still feel this game rocks just getting a few things of my chest to see if others agree as my mates think im being harsh ,

the whole diving thing pisses me off. diving is cheating. nuff said. the spanish, italian and latin americans in real life are ruining our game (im english so i can say its our game ), with all their cheating and acting like women - and now konami have added it to the game!

i mean ffs they spend time working on diving code and animations when the net code is soooo ****, and the rest of the game is soo buggy.

i say diving = cheating = same as d/c if your losing....

Im half english half italian and i swear England should have done something like that against Macedonia or something, maybe 'we' would have been though. I LoL!

to be honest i used to be a man utd fan so i play as them...

and yes italy won - but imho they should have been thrown out of the competition. i mean their league is corrupt as hell innit? a few of the players of the winning team were also found guilty of corruption too.

i can only guess that had the english league been in the same position they wouldnt be allowed to continue? i mean look at liverpool/england being thrown out of europe years ago when it was clear 1/2 the people causing the problems were wearing juventus shirts

england should just stop letting people play who are good for their club but crap for their country - look at gerrard and lampard - both useless in an england shirt!
