condition/coloured arrow blocks in formation

Hi all

ok, took a break from consoles for a year or 2 but back with a shiney ps3, 42" HD TV and wii.... and of course pro evo 2008.

now, im sure in the old versions of evo it explained the coloured blocks more than i can find in the manual.

i know red = good, green = standard etc...

but im unsure as to when to drop players.... i usually play as england or man utd, and i find i always play rio ferdinand as sweeper - even if on a purple arrow thing (wtf do you call them other than thing

). BUT on my first online match i had almost 1/2 my team on purple.... rooney, ronaldo, tevez etc... so should i drop them? if i have a pretty good player on the bench with red or orange i tend to drop the good player but im unsure as to how well this really works (usually beat the COM easily enough)

and how random are all the conditions? ive had both keepers and both CFs on purple before so technically my defence and attack are crap before i start....

your thoughts please.....

defense seems to be less affected than attack on the conditions?

Look mate I'm not sure totally how much difference its makes, but its always better playing red hot players.

I wouldn't go dropping Ronaldo just because he's on blue. I have found that players do lose more stamina when the condition is worse so that’s something to bear in mind !!

No idea if this is right but I find if I'm quite a good team against a not so good team then I get loads of down colours, but If I'm the worse team its not normally so harsh.

I've played grey form defenders before and they've not let me down, and I've played 1 grey goalkeeper (although it was Petr Cech) and he was fine too, who knows it luck of the draw really, that’s another reason why Pro Evo is so good I think, sometimes players play well other times they have a stinker !

Best solution is to stick with all green if its annoying you that much !!!

ive started doing all green when i host a game....

i did notice that when i was playing as man utd against barca (shudder) i had one red (solskjaer

) and mainly green and blue but the other guy had at least 5 or 6 red (you can see when going to penalties)

how the hell is this fair? i mean his 3 strikers and 2 CFs were all red!

surely it should even things out amongst the teams? 2 red, 3 orange etc....

im beginning to hate playing against barca - the laggy online really doesnt help as the 3 SS's are all really fast - not brilliant to play with when taking lag into consideration....

Welcome to the world of Online Evo & Hating Barca !!!

I just pick Barca myself if the other person does now, petty but I'm sick of being over matched. Try hovering over Barca for a few seconds and let the other player know that if they choose Barca then you will to they sometimes change teams !!!

but i prefer to play with a team i know.

and why are barca so good anyway? i mean thierry henry got sold as hes lost his edge now, ronaldhino is the most over rated player ever! (hes never played well when ive seen him play!)

i mean dont barca lose to english teams every year now?

i may well play as barca tho - without the lag i can beat them but i always find the ball just appears at the forwards feet after massive lag and i concede
