Cancelling match

Hi again, when playing online, if the connection is lost during a online game what happens to your ratings? I played a couple guys last night who i was beating but the matches got cancelled, is it a online problem or is it a way to cheat the ratings if you are losing???

if they left the game, you pick up an automatic 3-0 win + your rating goes up. if you got disconnected, then they get it and the points.
