PS3 BROKEN - 60gig or 40gig DILEMMA

Hello to everyone in the world of MAN.

This Forum type stuff is v.new to me.

Can anyone aid me in my quest to sort out my dillemma.

I have a PS3 60 GIGGER that has just gone down. it still has 2 months Warranty and it cost me £427.00. Sony have offered me a Re-manufactured 60GIG machine with a 3 month warranty (+ subscribe to continuous play cover) at £4.99 per month whic I must pay if I want to be covered after the initial 3 Month.

Game shop have offered me a 40 GIGGER in staight replacement with a £120.00 refund. This will have a full years Sony warranty and Game also offer an extended 2 year warranty at £27.99 extra total.

Which one, do you serious gaming people think I should go for?

I,m not really bothered too much about the card reader or the slickness of the 60g, PS2 games will be a bummer but I could live with it.

well if you say you can live without the card readers and the ability to play ps2 games then i think you should go for the 40 gig, just use the money to get more games

Or an Ext Hard Drive if ya need more storage?

Only hassle I have is I never backed up the save DATA

Do you know if Windows can read the hard drive?

i think a pc should be able to as its fat32...but dont quote me on that...

Yea you can back-up your saved games and sh1t using a Flash key, Just copy all onto it and save it on your puter

yea may aswel get the 40 gig, ok its got less room but external hard drive there for that, it means you get extra money to buy games and also get 3 years warranty

get the 40 gig and with the extra money but a new hard drive and put it into it

Went to Shop got a 40 GIGGER + a couple of games and kept the hard
drive

so that I can delete any personal data, if the hard drive is good I wll upgrade it to the console.

Bought Call of Duty 4, but most of time you will see me on Formula 1

dude cod4 will change that..... you wont be able to get off
