My thoughts and problems with GTA IV

First of all when i watched the ign review last night i thought the game looked like a piece of ****. And i still think the graphics are quite awful sometimes. I remember one time when i dropped that girl rebecca or melissa or michelle or whatever her name is back at her house the camera swapped to an angle where the buildings looked 2d and her face was like a metal gear 1 face. Overall though very fun game, although not as fun as i thought its still very good. I hope i get into it more as i play it more. Im having 2 problems though. The online just doesnt work at all. It says looking for game provider and then says cant connect. Any ideas ? And my other problem...well....i dont know if its really a problem. Has anyone noticed how dark the game world looks ? sometimes i cant even see my guy its so dark, even during the day. For instance, when you first start the game and drive to your apartment i couldnt see myself at all after the cutscene. Hell it took me 5 mins to find my way out even with the brightness up full.

The colours are just probably set too dark on your tv. Either change the tv brightness and colours or change the lightness in the gta options.

are u playing it through a HD TV?

Yes. If i turn the brightness and saturation up it helps but then i cant read my phone (in game ) or the taxi (destination thingy). Ideas ?

you think the graphics are bad on GTA? what a tit there great man taking in a account the scale of the game its an amazing technical feat

I agree xells....i thought at first the graphics were a little suspect...but once i played it for a while you start to realise what an amazing achievment it actually is. The map is absolutely massive and im staring to love the way it looks too......its pretty slick if you ask me.

The online part is doing the same to me mate....but its early days and hopefully it will get sorted.

K ive got it sorted now so i can really see properly nad stuff. Yeh your right graphics are pretty good excellent game overall seems to be going pretty quick though. 22% already.

your opinion but it is a good game the graphics arent great but its pretty awesome

Strange how no grand theft auto in my opinion but probably some others opinions too has actualy been as great as GTA3.

GTA4 just didnt have that spark well it had the initial spark but the sparks soon faded. It was not as fun as the previous GTA's not sure why.

Saints row 2 on the other hand looks like its going to be full of fun silly things which is great. I mean who could possibly tear a fire hydrant from the ground and use it as a weapon heh.
