Is PSN like Steam?

Hello,

Just a doubt... when you buy games in PSN, is the same as buying in Steam?
For example: I buy a game in PSN, then I have to format my Hard Disk. Will I have to buy it again or, just like Steam, the game is going to be connected to my account and I will be able to download it again without extra costs?

from what I hear you can download it agin free but only for a limited number of times

When you buy games in Steam, they keep locked in your account, so if you format your computer, reinstall everything, you will still be able to download for no extra costs the games you bought using your Steam account.

So if what Conan_Troutman is saying is true, this sucks a lot!

oh, thanks, just didnt get wot u meant

yeah u can download 5 times, but u can also give other people ur account details and they can download content from your account to their playstations&accounts but it counts as one of your 5 downloads

steam issomething you have on the pc, its just an account that has games on it!
