PS3 doesn't detect router

Hi I have a d-link router and i don't know why but sometimes the ps3 detect the router and other times it doesn't no matter what i try!i do disconect the router every time i finish play online but i don't think that's a reason for not working properly.I also would like to know if i have to have any port fowarding rules done on the router and whats the best way to config it to get a easy acess with the router.Can somebody help me?Thanks
