Problems playing online/connecting with my friend and FIFA 2008.

Hello there J I’m new to the forum so apologies if this is in the wrong section or anything.

I just wanted help about my Playstation 3, as I seem to have problems playing online, and browsing around forums it seems many other people do too.

My wireless Internet connection on my Playstation 3 says that it’s a 95% connection, which is very good. The problem is my mate who has just brought a PS3, we can’t play each other online. His Internet connection is 100%. But in any of FIFA 2008, COD4 or GTA 4, it won’t let us play against each other and comes up with connection with other player not available. This is strange as we can play other friends no problem; it just seems to be that we can’t play each other.

Has anybody else had this problem?

Also when I play FIFA 2008 online, when I try to set up a game in the lobbies it seems to take ages to connect with other players on the side select screen, does this happen to anybody else? I seems to play 1 or 2 matches an hour, very frustrating. But when in the match, it works fine.

And on GTA 4 when I am not the host I always get disconnected within 5 seconds L

I’m no brain box with Internet or wireless routers so if anybody knows the problem if you could reply idiot friendly then it would be much appreciated J



So basically how can I play my friend online? And,

How can I play players on FIFA 2008 quicker?

I’m guessing it’s a problem with a firewall (which I’m not sure are) or something. Any help greatly appreciated, happy gaming J

ya need ports open or ur ps3 put in a dmz on ur router, it puts the ps3 in front of the router, have a look through my posts and ya will be able to do it
