Warhawk Tips

Any of you guys know any good tactics in WH? I know everyone has their own style, but there are a lot things in game that works better than you think

1) FLAMETHROWER - most powerful troop weapon which is capable to destroy a tank or flying-low warhawk in matter of seconds.
The best way to destroy a tank is to sneak behind it (which is pretty hard couse tank is fast) and jump on its tower - driver has to unmount tank to make you any harm. So all you have to do is use flamethrower - when it is burning jump of and finish it with a grenade.
Flamethrower is the best in close combat against other troop - but it is sometimes hard to control the fire.

2) GRENADES - you need 5-6 to destroy tanks, 3 to destroy turret. I wish they had greatest range of throwing

3) MINES - you can put only 4 at a time. When you put 5th, the first is going to disappear. Use them everywhere! Especially on bridges, enemy bases, roads. They are great couse youre doing nothing and the text shows up that you killed someone And even when friendly fire is on they dont harm (dont explode) your team.

4) ROCKET LAUNCHER - great againts warhawks - 2 shots to take one down - autotarget! (when you spot one in hover mode he will not be able to run away) but useless against other troops - rocket is weaker than grenade! If you really want to kill troop, aim in legs. RL is great against tanks couse you can auto-target him (by keepin R1 pressed).

DOGFIGHT MISSILES EVADING:
When someone has locked on his rockets on me and hes far away all im doing is waiting. I just keep R2 pressed (boost) and waiting till the 5th dot is going to flash under 'incoming missile' sign. Then i press R2 two times (super boost) and im going strait down. When i almost reached the ground im going up using L2+R2 - rockets are going to smash on the ground - sometimes this tactic is not possible - eg in Destroyed Capitol level. But when you play Destroyed Capitol theres other way of evading missiles (hi cow When you see incoming missile you can fly around buildings using L2+R2 or simply hide behind big buildings in the middle of level, or flying around it (keep R2 pressed). Is that the way you play there, Cow??

When you try shot someone down when in warhawk, first lock on and fire homing missile on your target and immediately switch to swarm missiles (up on d-pad) and lock couple of them on your target as well. Guy is trying evade homing and the swarm are right behind him as well. Thats the great combo because theres no delay after firing off homing missile.

GENERAL STUFF:
Remember to use tanks and turrets as hideouts (when you do nothing in them youre not being seen on map).
Your troop can kill any guy in jeep by knife (sneak behind when someone is using gun mounted on it).
When you are driving jeep you can switch to gun by keeping the square pressed, and than, after the icon appears in lower right corner, press down on d-pad. Great to kill troops.
Use combat blade in one-on-one fight. Even when enemy is using machine gun (it will take some time till you die) you can try running to him - maybe he will hit obstacle - then you cut his head off!

I know it may be obvious but after all we are all noobs so share everything you know!!

Yeah, forgot to mention! But sometimes you dont actually know where you are... and if you are weak, flying in pro flight can make you feel very bad

When i hear the missile lock on sound i just use the right D-pad to select the anti missile weapon thing. I always have two of them on me at a time because they are like 2 extra lives when flying a warhawk. I rarely die from a missile doing this.

When locking on with swarm missiles or homing missiles you can fire the machine gun at the same time. This can be the difference between taking them out and not.

Always have 6 grenades if possible when on the ground. They are the most lethal weapons.

Its called chaff and in stats theres one thing like "kills with chaff" - how are you supposed to kill anyone with it??

Tip from me use ur Radar press the selct button when u spawn. this will give u an idea where the enemy is and the rest of ur squad. Saves time messing about hunting. Great post nick btw KUTGW!! 8)

Just tried Pro Mode. Dont think much of it to be honest. A lot harder to fly with no benefits as far as i see... unless im missing something?

Great tips, love the knife tip. So far Ive been killed by it once but never managed to kill anybody with it.

My favorite weapon is the binoculars for calling in air strike against ground targets, they don't even know they are going to die and die they do.

I only discovered the air strike with the binoculars yesterday. Still have to take someone out with one. Not many weapon pickups for them about.

When in hover mode someone can jump on your plane (not mounting it) and when youre in hover you can transport him or he can help you killing people. Hes going to fall when you turn to fly mode its useless really but i think its worth telling.

You can lock up up to 8 swarm missiles on single plane.

Binoculars are great to use on base, near the post, where enemy always is. U can use warhawk to get to higher ground - so you can see more. You have two airstrikes available but it takes ages to "reload".

When you see friend in a tank and you have rpg with you, you can mount the tank as second person and by pressing triangle you can stick your body out through the lid and help your friend by using your weapons. Press triangle again to hide inside tank
