It has just come to my attention that there is a new expansion coming out for Warhawk, named Operation: Broken Mirror.
It's basically the same as Omega Dawn, adding a new map and vehicle (Plus some new infantry based stuff, like the Monkey Wrench and Bio-Field Generator.).
There has been no news on the new map, nor screenshots. The only thing we can learn is that the expansion and, most likely, the map are focusing more on ground combat.
Anyways, there is a new vehicle called the APC. Let me tell you about this little bundle of mechanical joy:
It can hold up to six people, with pop-up hatches for all passengers (Like that on the tank) so they can fire. Also, it acts as a mobile spawn point for infantry, and each soldire that spawns there gets a randomly determined weapon (It could be a rifle, it could be a set of binocs

).
But! That is not all still! Usually, the APC clips along at the speed of a tank (Maybe a wee bit faster), but with the boost feature it'll go much faster, sacrificing some of it's manourvreability.
Also, it can generate it's own electrical shield, that can deflect enemy fire while allowing passengers to shoot through it at the enemies. But it can also stall enemy jeeps, tanks and even Warhawks!
Anyways, there is no release date for the expansion just yet, but in
this article, the guys at IGN get their hands on it, telling me that it's close to finished.
UPDATE: Apparently, the new map is going to be called Vaporfield GI. And there are a couple of rumors hinting that it might be a long-awaited snow map.
ANOTHER UPDATE: Still rumor at this point, but the release date for the expantion
and the 1.3 update is hinted to be March 19th.
UPDATEZORZ: Due to my ineptness *Smacks head*, the new map isn't called Vaporfield GI, but instead called Vaporfield GL.
You may think "Ok, Dan, you
are a silly twat for such a cock-up, but it hardly matters now does it." and you would be half right. But apparently, the GL isn't some acronym, but a hint at the map's nature. Ladies and gents, I give you: Vaporfield
Glacier. This is all unconfirmed at this point, but it all adds up.
