Nat type help

Ok I really need help on this topic[/b].

I am a registered Eircom wireless broadband user and I am currently havin problems in turning my Ps3 from a NAT type 3 to a Nat type 2.I have read all the forums but have found them pointless.I know how to enter my router but I am having problems from there.

I have a Netopia 3347NWG router and 60 gb Ps3.
Could someone please give me a simple step by step way to getting a NAT type2 .

I have went to settings,put in my SSID code and then my WEP password.
From here on I'm confused because I have tried manually and automatic for the I.P adresses etc. and keep getting NAT type 3.

have the same problem but with 2247 router, any idea how to chang nat 3 to 2?

try putting the ps3 in the routers dmz, basically give it a static ip address

if ur not usin the wireless disable it from the router homepage at 192.168.1.254 , if ya need wireless go to the router homepage and click wireless on the left hand side and then click advanced options, change the ssid to 'johns router'(doesnt matter what it is as long as its not the original) under privacy change it to WPA-PSK and then enter in a new password, make it as long and awkward as possible click save changes on the bottom and restart if it asks you to, next go to expert mode on the left side and click yes, go to configure and connection, put in a new password,(make sure its not the same as the wpa-psk one) confirm it and save changes at the bottom and restart if it asks, thats finished on the pc now go to the ps3 go to settings network connection and select either wired or wireless then(if wireless) it'll ask for the security protocol WPA-PSK and the ssid 'johns router' and then enter the pasword(the long awkward one) then select pppoe it'll ask for the user name(eircom@eircom.net) and the new password(the second one ya set) select auto for everything else and it should all be hunky dory and give ya nat 1
