HELP connection problems

I recently bought a PS3 . I have no problem getting online and have played over 2 days of COD4 online without a problem.
Last week I bought Tiger Woods 08 and Fifa 08 and Gran Tourismo 5 Prologue.
With TW and Fifa when I get matched with someone online nothing happens and then the sessions time out.
With Gran Tourismo I go to play online and I tells me I need to download settings , when I do this it downloads half way and then stops and says there is a connection error.
I have eircom broadband with a netopia router but that can't be the problem because I have no problems with COD 4.

could still be an issue with certain ports being blocked. try guil's guide at this link...

Why dont you download updates in silly hours... That might work m8

You'll either need to open ports for EA's servers or get your PS3 on NAT1

With Netopia the firewall is on too high....Lower it in the settings and i betcha it will work

i presume that vid is the same way i did it, i figured out how to get nat 1 after pissin around with settings for hours
