hi i have the 40 g ver of the ps3 and understand i carnt play ps2 games does anyone no if there isa patch or download to make my ps3 play ps2 games..thanks

yeah i know it dont play ps2 games straight out the box but mybe theres a crack or patch or summit....i just want to play gran turismo 4

Play it on your PS2. And the 40GB doesn't have the software or something like that I don't know!

the 40's will NEVER play ps2 games, the 60's will because they have the chip that allows you to. Sony removed this chip from the 40's to reduce production costs which then enabled them lower the retail costs to increase profits.

EU 60Gb don't have the E.E chip, it was taken out, it uses emulation. something that was taken out of the 40Gb
