my trusty battle bus m reg cavalier goes in for its mot on saturday morning. its going to a mates work so getting mot for 35 quid which aint bad.
just think its going to fail sadly. as its only worth 100 notes max to me as thats all it cost, if it does its time to scrap it. which means the grand and a bit ive been saving up to buy the parts to finish putting my other car back on the road will have to get spent. ive had the engine built and ready for my corsa for a couple months now. it eeds to be running by about april time to get some track action and strip action again.
generally, cars suck.
plus tax is due on the runabout which is 99 quid for 6 months. costly business.
I have an L reg Astra 1.6i. Its done 160008 miles. Electric windows that dont work, the sunroof handle has snapped the lights dont work on the dashboard, front fogs that dont work, no knob on the gear lever
Nice bodywork and a powerful engine for the size of the car. Velour interior woooo. Its not a bad car at all really Ive had it for 3 years and I only paid £800 for it. Noice
my cavalier failed its mot though. it needs a wheel bearing, 2 front track rod ends, front windscreen wipers and headlight aim adjusted. total cost of parts about 47 quid and it will cost me about a tenner to fix it at my mates work. all in all, for an old car be under 90 to get through its mot so im quite happy with it really. will last me another 6 months then buy another car. should be fixed next saturday morning and hopefully get it in for the retest the week after. mot isnt actually up until mid jan so its all good.
means i can waste a grand and a bit on an ecu and some injectors for the corsa and get that on the road again. ive missed driving the corsa over last couple months. its a complete and utter monster.
Seriously, buying a car on finance is absolute suicide. You get finance for a car worth 12000. You pay them 16000 by the end of your 5 year contract, you're left with a car worth 4000?!?!?!?
