Need some help aiming

Hi guy's first post on here hope you can help. I'm a long standing online gamer mainly PC so I'm used to the keyboard and mouse set up, it was my son's birthday yesterday and I managed to get him a PS3. I've got COD4 for the PC and tbh I'm pretty good most rounds ending with a score/death 50 odd - 12 ish. Well I bought Cod4 for the PS3 and thought right I'll give the game pad a try.....OMG.......WTF..... I can't hit a cows arse with a banjo I need help quick first online game score 0 - 11 WTF now its hat's off to you guy's I've seen from the death cam most peoples aim is spot on I need help. What pad settings do you folk play with? I have mine on 2-3 to control it better, I've noticed, before people shoot they go into zoom mode which seems to slow movement down a bit. Is it just down to lack of practice do people up the senitivity settings the better they get? Cheers for any advice.

it takes some time but you do get used to it.what works for me is don't start spraying bullets as soon as you see someone,just take it slow,or as Bob lee Swagger in Shooter would say "slow is smooth and smooth is fast"

try setting up private games and get the feel of the controllers sensitivity thats what i done

I was an ex pc gamer, and yes its tough.

Using the controller was a mare for me, to the point where i was gonna stop playing cos i was finding it really difficult.

But i stuck it out, now, looking back, i wonder what all the fuss was about!!!
