Right folks, when you're playing online how many of ye are the host for a match.
I don't mean private matches either.
If so do ye ever get a bad ping or lag ??

I have a really sh1t ping most of the time and I'm sick of people having
a full second drop on me when I turn a corner. It's frustrating as fack
especially when I'm reacting as fast as I can...which is fast trust me,
then I watch the kill cam and see the flucker have plenty of time to take aim and
shoot.

The odd time when I'm playing with you English lads and your deadly connections
I seem to have a much better connection. Am I piggybacking your connection ??

Its rare that I have a clean connected match where when I shoot someone
they drop on queue. Anyone else have this (specifically the Irish lads and lassies.) ??

Sorry for the long post...this has reached boiling point for me at this stage,
it still won't keep me off COD4 though !!

P.S. I've 2Mb Eircom and I'm in the middle of a large housing estate in Mullingar.

Ha ha...put it this way the fact that I've had to increase my reactions to lightning
speed means that when I do get a good connection I pwn left, right, centre,
front, back, top, bottom and corner mofo !!

Seriously though I'll take some vids and show ye me pain in the ring connection at some stage....

I would of thought 2 mb would be ok to play without lag online, it does depend how many people have the same network provider in your area sharing the same exchange as you tho.

The more people on the same exchange, the worse it is.

What speeds you getting at speedtest.net?

Eircom are gey with their 24:1 contention ratio...doesn't help things....

Speed test is gives me nearly the full whack when I test it. 2Mb Down and 256Kb there or there abouts.

I reckon I'm miles away from the actual exchange.....

Silly question, do you always get lag?

Or is it better in the daytime than evening?

Also, just another query, are you wireless?, and have you secured your network?
Its amazing how many poeple dont configure there thier network properly, allowing anyone in the neighbourhood to connect to your connection.

It needs to be secure, i may be telling you how to suck eggs here, but just incase

You're right to ask the obvious, people on the whole can be pretty fick when
it comes to this kinda thing.

Yep I'm wireless, its secured I 85% of the time have some kinda lag.
It sickening to see some guys squeeze off and accurate round or two on
their targets and see them drop. I often have to unload into a target...
sometimes a foot infront of them to make sure I hit them !!

Oh yeah its usually better in morning when there is less Americans on....
