Mads, i feel for you mate, i really do. Ive got a 10meg connection and you would not believe the lag i get.
The other night on COD4 i got the drop on a 1 stripe noob of all people. Hit him im the chest with at least 3 bursts from the M16 only for him to shoot me in the face.
Best about it is that when i watch it on the killcam i didnt even fire one round off.
Its really startin to pi55 me off.

Wow,
Now I know Im not a seasoned gamer on COD like the rest of you, but for the bit I have played I have never seen even a little bit of lag, And Im on a 3Mb wireless connection, And I dont mean wireless router in my house, I mean Wireless as in a dish on the side of my house, Not even through phoneline.
Sometimes I find it hard to join to lobbys and games but once in there everything seems fine,

Yup there it is in a nutshell. In their kill cam you haven't even fired a shot.
It's a real pisser. I'd love to find out the cause. I'll have to root through all my
router settings and the like and see if I can spot anything. I reckon its my ping
though...as far as I can remember the nearest exchange from me is in Cavan
or some place....fckin' miles away.

As far as I remember the Speedtest.net was picking up....ah sugar...
I just checked Speedtest.net there and its just using Servers based in Limerick or Galway for the test...not exchanges....
My bad....

Will do. First thing I'm gonna try is NAT1 on the router as per Guil07's helpful
posts.
Then I'll try a wired connection and see how that goes.
If I gotta drill holes for cables and it means a good connection I'll shaggin do it !!

You should get a more stable connection if you use the ethernet cable...gotta be worth a try, just run the cable thro the house and windows at first, rather than drilling holes and fecking the missus off

Not to worry the cable'd only have to go through 2 partion walls at the most,
then I'd just cable clip it around a bit of Skirting board and architrave,
no biggie.
