is cod 4 too good?

i was just thinking is cod 4 multiplayer too good, has it set the benchmark too high for other games to compete with it?

i mean look at ut3 that flopped in comparison and its primarily an online game, resistance has a solid online play but not as good as cod.

i think haze will be good, a few changes to the online play and it could be very good.

will anyone ever beat the co4 online?

killzone 2, resistance 2? who knows

Yeah the only thing that stops me playing it is slow broadband lately, while playing GTA IV i couldn't stop thinking about knifing someone or popping someone with a silenced MP5!

I know what you mean, as soon as i play another FPS i think about COD4 straight away, i think you are right, COD4 has set a standard here.

Agreed, Cod4 has set a very high benchmark.Had the game since release and I'm still playing online 2-3 times a week. Haze looks pretty and you can customise the controller to COD4 ( Co-incidence,I think not),Gta online in my opinion doesnt cut it,resistance to little game variation,Metal gear while looking fantastic just didnt feel right to play (I know its only the beta and hopefully better on full release).
On the plus side,hopefully shows developers the way foward with online gaming on the ps3 and how it should be done.

I think thats a very fair point karl.......its amazing how much life the old girl still has in her......i think cod4 will still be played alot in 2009.
