Default ACOG on sniper

Ive never really used ACOG scopes on any variety of weapon but i thoght id give it a go on my old M40A3 and M21, and i could not get a kill with it, id consider myself pretty nifty with a sniper rifle but i wasnt even hitting the enemy, heres the senario, i was on pipeline playing sabatage on top of the roof nearest the trains, the enemys base was the one by the trains and we had just planted the bomb, usually i could cater for most of the guys rushing back to base to defuse the bomb but i didnt get a hit, one single hit??? is there a major difference between sniping with ACOG and standard or am i just being a plum, any hints and tips on using ACOG mos welcome

I use its alot better when you get used to it, moving targets are easier to hit and you can shoot faster instead of having to hold your breath with the normal scope

You're crosshair point on the ACOG is the vertex of the inverted V.

Like Stevie said it's alot quicker to bring the scope up to eye and
you don't have to hold your breath.
You've also got a little more peripheral vision with the ACOG than the
regular scope....

Don't use it for LONG range kills unless you're very comfortable with it.
It's a little less accurate due to the slight sway with the scope.....

It's all about speed....

yeah cheers for responses guys i tried it with the m40a3 last night and got used to it, ive found it changes the maps i like to snipe on, where as usually with the normal sight i would snipe on levels such as overgrown, countdown and bloc, with the ACOG i now find you can snipe on smaller more intimate levels such as chinatown, vacant and crash due to the quickness of it, overall i do prefer the original scope but the ACOG defiately has its uses
