What Sword do you smite with!

I have a few swords but my personal fave is the Thornblade sword that I got after saving the count of... (leyawin i think?) son when he got lost in the oblivion gate. Basically you have to keep him alive while you close the gate and then speak to the count and for your service he offers you either a sword or a staff. Anyway the thornblade looks amazing. Its magic power is wank though, disintigrate armour 120 points.... but its long and has a good reach and it doesn't kill of my oponents that quick so I can have some fun with them. Its attack power is 26.


My other swords are the Ebony Blade (24), Goldbrand (27) and the Umbra (30) sword, all from completeing daedric shrine quests.

ive made a few of my own, there not particualry great i need bigger soul gems, but the ones i got get the job done, i have a claymore that does 20 damage for 2 seconds on strike, so essentially it does 49 damage with one hit,

well im an arch mage so i go into the arch mages room and theres a stand, looks like a music stand in one of the corners. you activate it, then add a sword and then add a soul gem, then add effect and what the effect does and then the sword is made

Don't like weapon that need to be held with two hands. Movements are too slow.

Can someone post the stats on the dawn/dusk fang thing. I know in the day its fire and night its darkness, what else?

Dawnfang/Duskfang is one sword with two distinct varieties (Think two faces of the same coin). Starting at dawn (6AM), the player wields Dawnfang, but upon nightfall (6PM), it changes into Duskfang. Every sunrise and sundown, when the blade is replaced, the weapon's charges and health will be completely restored.
Dawnfang has an orange-hued stone set in the hilt. Orange hues are closely related to Mania in the Realm of Sheogorath suggesting a connection between Dawnfang and Mania. Conversely, Duskfang has a blue-hued stone, the color of which is related to Dementia. It can be duplicated using the scroll method and only the original changes Duskfang can only be duplicated at night
This sword is awarded after completing the quest Baiting the Trap.

Value: 162 - 5046 dependant on what level the sword is gained. Weight: 19 - 47 dependant on what level the sword is gained. [edit] Effects

• Leveled Fire Damage (Dawnfang) or Frost Damage (Duskfang)
• Nourish Blade on Strike

The blade has leveled charges ranging from 250 - 3600. Uses range from 50 - 80.

Dawnfang/Duskfang keeps track of creatures killed, displaying the text "Dawnfang/Duskfang has extinguished X lives." (X being the number of creatures or NPCs killed, much like Mehrunes Razor.) Once the quota of "twelve lives extinguished" has been met and the sword's bloodthirst is satisfied, the next incarnation will be Superior, adding the effect of Absorb Health if it is Dawnfang Superior, and Absorb Magicka if it is Duskfang Superior. Failure to nourish the blade fully reverts it to the normal version with the next incarnation.
