Default Official Questline Help *SPOILERS*

*SPOILERS BELOW*

I am currently on the Quest where you must get reinforcements from other cities to help the Bruma Guard. The first place I went to was Anvil, where the Princess of Anvil told me she would lend me reinforcements but only if I closed the Oblivion Gate that was open outside the city. Is this going to be the case everywhere? For example if I close that gate am I going to have to close another one in the next place that I seek help for Anvil, I hope not!

theres 7 cities so i would assume 7 gates, they only take like 5 - 10 minutes to close anyway, and you can find some cool items in each of them

You don't have to do any. Really it depeneds on your level. If you are low level but have a decent equip then you alone with martin and jaufre can handle the feeble scamps that come through the gates. If however you are like me and were level 43 before you did this quest then its best to recruit all the towns like i did. I just wanted to close the gates anyway, I even did gates I didn't need to close but yeah. When that mission came and PURE dremona guards with full out magical equipment ran through those gates I was grateful that I had the help. I had to do it twice even because Martin died 1st time round. (partly my fault, hit him with a 400 damage spell on accident... fool getting in my way. I am the hero here)

Not really. Takes me ages. I don't know if its meant to be this way but when I did it there was no red/green arrow telling me where to go. I had to run around doing it all for myself. Got lost most of the time. In some cases i just ran across the the lava to get to the tower portal main tower. I know as soon as I find the rending halls door I am on the right path lol.

the anvil gate is well annoying to close, took me ages to get inside the citadel, those caves are confusing.

also i have decided that all the guards are idiots, when you have to go and talk to the city leaders, there behind locked doors so you have to brake in to talk to them, which the guards dont like, you get chased after, then speak to the leader then even after that they still try and kill you,

also when i had finished the anvil gate, went back but there was not map marker to find the woman to talk to, damn that was annoying, i was just running around getting chased by the guards for ages before i found her
