How many gates?

I was just wondering - how many Oblivion gates is there to close - I seem to have closed loads but there is still more.

there are loads mate, but you dont need to close em all, just the main gates, i.e the ones outside of the towns, then the last gate is outside the main town i believe

there's 60. most of them spawn randomly

why dio you want to close them all, the oblivion gates quest is the most boring thing about this game, and its the main storyline

You're right they are boring - but they easy enough to close - 30 mins ish each depending on which map you get.
