Strangest Thing Happened...

I'm just curious as to whether this weird little occurrence has happened to anyone else with a 60GB PS3 (EU).

Now, I made a thread some time back bitching about some PS2 games I'd bought not being recognised...now strangely, in the meantime I've made no system updates cos I think everything was pretty much up to date then anyway, and ..I just decided to take the plunge and try some of those games again recently, and found to my surprise that pretty much every game that had refused to work previously was now accessible! There's still a couple issues (Tekken Tag plays really slowly, Crash Twinsanity still won't load a save file without crashing, and Rampage: Total Destruction doesn't get past the first screen) but Jak and Daxter appears to be playing fine, along with any of the others I mentioned previously. I just found it really strange, the only logical thing I can think of is me forgetting one of the updates I made which must have made this possible, but I just dunno! Either way, it made me happy!

my ps3 only plays dvds every few weeks!weird i know but it wont play dvds then i wait like 2 weeks and then it doesreally annoying

no, i do agree with you - the main ps2 game i play is soul calibur 3 - it used to always run really slow, but around a month ago it starting running normal speed like 95% of the time for some reason - and if it does run slow, all i have to do is restart the system and it's back to full speed

I dont insult my ps3 by playing ps2 games in it. His younger sister, Tamia a.k.a ps2 plays them if I bother to plug her in.
