space problem

hi,

just got my ps3 today , and put ratchet&crank on for my kids, it played the intro but then a message came up that said
"your hdd has insufficient space.you need 419mb available for the initial setup of ratchet and crank.please create some free space and try again."

problem is i dont have any game demos or videos or music on th ps3 , my information says that i have 64gb/74gb

so what do i do ?

I would Panic till somebody more informed can come and help....or youcould try reloading the game

yeah i suggest try re installing it, if thta dont work re format your hd and if that dont work call up sony

odd, so you just bought a ps3 and ratchet and clank says your HDD is full yet it says you have 64gb hmm. Probably best contacting sony on that one its a problem ive never heard of before but then again formatting the HDD may work.

yeah it s a new ps3 , never used before, tryed reinstalling it , still no luck, i'll try formatting it.

sonic the hedehog works!!!!! but crank&rachet still is looking for more memory.i formatted it in quick mode , no joy then did a full format, still doesnt work?
maybe its the game.the game is second hand
it is an american ps3

went into my local games store today, there is a problem with the ratchet and clank games , basically he told me to download videos , music demos etcetc and it would work.
