Default Purchase Advice

Hi,

I am a bit new to this - been looking round for a Blu-Ray player and a lot of reviews kept saying "not as a good as PS3". The more I read the more I got convinced that I would buy a PS3 over a standard Blu-Ray player.

I am hoping that some of you might share your wisdom and guide me in the right direction.

I am based in Dublin and while I could buy online from would prefer a retailer that I could walk back in if there were 'issues'. Could anyone recommend a retailer that they have had a good experience with (or ones to avoid).

Additionally there seems to be 3 versions, 40, 60 and 80 my reading around this board is that the 80 is just a 40 with a bigger HD whereas a 60 has some backwards compatability, is my read on this correct. What do you actually use the HD for other than storing game save files.

Thanks in advance to anyone that responds,

R

saving music but you probally wont find a 60g now i would go for the 80 as it will be the same price for the 40 but if the price drops on the 40 buy that and but a bigger hdd for it

best bet is to get one off amazon ( a 40gb one ) becuase they usually have some really good deals.

as for the hard drive like arka said its mainly for music and videos but my opinion is that the blu ray disks have far better quality that anything you could download so there's not much point having a big hard drive if your just going to play blu ray disks on ir
