PS3 Buying advice.

I am about to buy a PS3, but I always end up finding out that I should have waited a month because there is a newer/better version coming out. So, can anyone tell me if there is and should I wait? What is the best now?

to my knowledge there is nothing new planned for the ps3 so you sohuld be safe in buying one

i'd say wait it out till E3 cause you never know sony may decide to pull the price back or do something else!! E3 is in 2 weeks by the way just incase you didn't know!!

Thanks. Is the best one the one with the 80gig hard drive? What the heck is E3? As you can see, I know nothing about this. Just want to get something for my kid and don't want to make a mistake.

have a look here for info on the 80gb http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ps3 tbh i dont think it is bein released in europe and the only thing i think ur kid would be worried about is the ability to play ps1 and 2 games on it, the 40 gb cant but the 60 and 80 can, the 60 isnt in production anymore
