if ya havent try this programs>accesories>communications>network setup wizard and select connect through this computer and it should set it up properly

no, keep changing settings and no matter what i do the test fails.


if i go to local network, it says limited connetivity.

i even rang the ps help line and said i was getting a dns error and was just told to contact 3g provider for dns settings...

still don't know what to put in for dns, have tried using the laptops ip, the vodafone dns's, tried just primary, primary and secondary etc etc, wish i knew what settings i had correct so that i could narrow it down

try what i said above and then on the ps3 auto detect settings should work

my appologies i was unaware it was a 3g vodafone card , shesh that must cost you a fortune! anyway good luck with the whole internet share on it! hopefully see you online gaming soon. see you on warhawk hopefully!

have you looked at the settings on the router? firewall blocking the connection to the ps3 maybe?

(maybe a stupid answer, but you never no :P )

Actually that a good point. My connection was blocked with a built in firewall.

he's not using a router its just the 3g card' i looked on boards.ie and some on that reckon that voda3g is crap for gaming so ya might wanna try change if ya wanna play online a lot

THIS EFFIN SET UP IS DRIVIN ME MAD. I AM IN A SIMILAR SUITATION TO YOURSELF. EXCEPT I KNOW THE HARDWARD IS SOUND AND MUST WORK BECAUSE I HAD MY MATES PS3 HE GOT FROM CHINA WORKING AND ALL FIRST TIME NOW PROBLEM.
ANY PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW YOU MANAGED PLEASE

he never got it sorted and just had voda 3g for 2 weeks trial so gave it back

in ireland a lot of people seem to have trouble with bt i dont know i've never used them i'm just going by whats on boards.ie
