backward compatibility
Hi all, my first post so go easy on me, i am thinking of buying a ps3 for my son who has a great interest in gaming, 2 questions i would like help with please, is the ps3 able to play ps2 games as he has a large collection of them (the ps2 is now broken) and will the ps3 play standard dvds.

60 GB and above is backward compatible, and yes it plays standard DVDs.

only the 60gb has bacwards compatability and it will play dvds from whatever region the ps3 is from
