Couple of things to try in your router settings:-

1. Try enabling the option for UP&P (Universal Plug & Play). This allows the router to automatically configure the NAT settings depending on what the attached devices require.

2. Look for an option for DMZ . It should be a box which you can fill in the IP address which has been assigned to your PS3. This puts your PS3 outside of whats called the Demilitarized Zone.

Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) allows one IP Address (Your PS3 in this case!.) to be exposed to the Internet. Some applications require multiple TCP/IP ports to be open. It is recommended that you set your PS3 with a static IP if you want to use DMZ. Linksys describes it as "The DMZ Host setting allows one local user to be exposed to the Internet to use a special-purpose service such as Internet gaming or Video-conferencing".

You should be aiming to get your PS3 to show you as have Nat Type 1 or Nat Type 2.

What Router are you using?.
